Generation Properties was founded in 2019, but our work here goes back much further. Charles "Rick" Bailey, Jr. founded Marrick Properties in 1984 and spent the next three decades developing across Southern Maryland. Eric Bailey joined the firm in 2010, and together they ran Marrick's commercial division, developing, leasing and managing the shopping centers and professional centers that anchor communities throughout the region.
In 2019 they formed Generation Properties to carry that portfolio forward and keep building. Today the firm owns and manages more than 900,000 square feet across Calvert, Charles and Prince George's counties: retail centers, professional office buildings, and two climate-controlled self-storage facilities it developed, built and manages. It continues to develop new commercial projects across the region.
We are an owner-operator, not a brokerage. We hold what we build, which means our tenants deal directly with the people who make the decisions.
